Shortcode

A shortcode is a special code that allows you to publish your PointView visualization directly on your website. By inserting the shortcode into the page content, the visualization is displayed in the selected location without the need to edit the website’s code. In PointView, there are two ways to obtain a shortcode:

Copying the Shortcode from the Admin Panel

  1. Go to the PointView admin panel, where you’ll find a list of all your projects.
  2. Next to each project, there is a select field labeled “Options.” Click on it to expand the list of available actions.
  3. Choose the “Copy shortcode” option. After clicking, the shortcode will be automatically copied to your clipboard, ready to paste on your website.

Copying the Shortcode from the Project Editing View

  1. While in the project editing view, click the “Publish” button in the top navigation menu.
  2. A modal window will appear, describing the methods for publishing the project on your website, including the shortcode for your visualization.
  3. You have two options to copy the shortcode:
    • Click the copy icon next to the shortcode – the code will be copied to your clipboard.
    • Alternatively, click the “Copy shortcode” button located in the bottom-right corner of the modal window to automatically copy the code.

A shortcode in PointView is a convenient tool that makes it easy to integrate your visualization into your website. With the ability to copy the code from both the admin panel and the project editing view, you can quickly and effortlessly share your visualization with your website visitors.
