Area

An area in PointView is an interactive element of a visualization that allows you to add detailed interactivity to a project section. With it, your visualizations become more dynamic and enable users to explore specific parts of the investment in an engaging and intuitive way.

What is an area?

  • A section component
An area is a component of a section – each section can contain multiple areas that can be defined based on the images added to that section.
  • Interactivity and customization
Areas are fully interactive, allowing users to click on them to access more information. Each area can be given a unique name, assigned a link (e.g., to another section, file, or URL), and have its status set.
  • Status and color
An area can have an assigned status that influences its appearance, changing its color based on its current state. This makes it easy for users to visually identify key information, such as the availability of a unit, the stage of project completion, or other essential details.

How to define an area?

The process of defining areas is detailed in the article “How to define interactive areas on an image?“.

An area is the foundation of interactivity in PointView – it transforms your visualizations into living maps that engage and immerse users in exploring the details of your investment.
